Curiouser and curiouser!

"What's a little brother to do?"
At this rate, that's what Finn will have to practice saying when he gets older. Even though, at this age, he goes right along with Julia's antics. The dress he donned so eloquently is the one that Julia wore a year ago at Jon and Ginny's wedding. The wig is from Julia's Halloween costume. Doesn't she look proud of her creation?

Even the dog looks a little confused by the whole affair.

Julia went ice skating a few weekends ago. A friend of hers was there too, so she had a partner to go around with. After a few times around with the helper device, she went on her own. Julia stayed close to the wall the whole time, but by the end she was moving along pretty well.
Here are three videos from the afternoon, if you're interested:

The kids have been trying to earn some money doing some extra chores around the house. It brings a smile to my face to see my first-born vacuuming (and doing a decent job)!

Amanda and I went to a wedding this past weekend and so we suckered Jon and Ginny (Yes, the same ones mentioned earlier in this very blog post - imagine that!) into staying with our little stinkers while we enjoyed a childless night. They might have had fun.

Yesterday, Julia had a Girl Scout outing to go see a production of Alice in Wonderland. When I told her it could be a date, she said, "Ohhhh, do we get to kiss?!" So we had to get a picture of pre-date smooching.

Musical, MoA, and More

Like last year, Julia participated in the Westside Elementary Musical. This year was a split program with some songs from Aristocats and some from Pete's Dragon. Julia was in the song Everybody Wants to be a Cat.

Here's a link to Julia's song:

Sometimes Julia and Skippy need some snuggle time. I'm never sure who needs it more.

The kids had fun making Valentines cupcakes with Grandma Beth and Grandpa Duane when they came to visit.

The four of us went to the Mall of America to attend a gathering of families and staff from Children's Hospital Oncology/Hematology. It was nice seeing some familiar faces and hanging out with some friends. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the rides!

The kids (Finn, Cala, Ashley, and Julia) went on some rides together and had a fun time. If you're interested in following Ashley's story and ongoing treatments for Leukemia, here is her Caring Bridge site.
