Finn, Finn, and more Finn!

Finn just turned one! You may have such questions as: How much does he weigh? How tall is he? Is he talking? Can he solve for b in the quadratic equation? How fat is his head? Has he inhaled a whole green bean into his lung yet (Don't laugh, Julia did that...seriously.)? Who does he most like to kiss? Why does he have an unhealthy distrust of anyone who uses Cockney rhyming slang? Does he mind the new diaper changing technique that his parents developed, which they've dubbed "The One Handed Spin-n-Rinse"? Well you're just going to have to wait for some of those answers...but here are the ones the doctor gave us:

Weight: 21 pounds (30th percentile)
Length: 29 inches (35th percentile)
Head circumference: 46.5 centimeters (55th percentile)

Yeah, he ain't so big now, is he!? But that's ok, after talking it over for a few hours, we've decided to keep him. We've also been nominated for "parents of the year".

Finn got to open a few gifts and also got to eat his birthday brownies (Brownies are far superior to cake. QED).
While playing Hide and Seek with Julia, I would frequently hide behind the kitchen curtains (I'm devious!). Finn played with us one day and got to be my hiding partner. He enjoyed the hiding place so much that he now goes back there on his own and very quickly pulls the curtain open to show himself and then pulls it back shut again. Watch carefully for a special cameo from Buckethead at the end of the video. And yes, our house is always this fun.

To keep with the trend from the last blog post of potentially embarrassing pictures, here's one of Finn in a dress. How horrible, look how slouchy he is!
Ok, so I lied in the title, it's not all Finn...

Who Needs a Spell?

Certainly not Finn! At least not a spell to make people think he's cute - it's obvious that he is. In any case, here he is after he got into some of Julia's dress up outfits.
Finn also enjoys being an upside-down baby. The only bad thing about it is that sometimes he wants to do it and he doesn't properly inform us, i.e. he unexpectedly throws himself backwards while we're holding him.
This video is quite dark, but it's still funny. It shows Finn running around the kitchen with me chasing after him with the camera. Direct link here.

My kids are crude, I've raised them well. Here's Julia talking on the phone while doing her bathroom business.
Finally, to anyone who's interested - A few months ago I started a blog to use as a place for me to talk about the stuttering therapy that I've been doing for the past few years. Here it is: http://tblhabm.blogspot.com/
