Today was a beautiful day with Julia.
I had the honor of introducing her to about 200 people at my school (about 2/3 of my 8th grade students and several staff members). The Camelot House at Oltman Middle School is preparing for a service project for the Children's Hospitals of Minnesota. In a few weeks, they will be making blankets, craft kits, and much more to donate to children and their families who are staying in the hospital. The purpose of my presentation today was to share the stories of 3 different families who have experienced the journey of pediatric cancer. Julia came to school with me this morning to share her story through a video we put together. As an added perk, she ate lunch with me in the teacher's lounge!

Julia,
The video is wonderful. I plan to share it with your classmates at Westside. I look forward to seeing you on Friday to teach you some things we have been working on in school. Love, Mrs. Andersen
That brought tears to my eyes. Julia still had that smile on her face in almost every picture. She is so strong! You are still in our prayers and I'm looking forward to the blog post that she is cancer free. She is a fighter and she will win this one. Blessings-Candace
This is a journey that will help many. Thank you for sharing your private lives with others. Love, Grandma Beth
I found it therapeutic to make this video for Julia. I was talking with a friend today about how I feel like I've been going through this process in an almost robotic motion. It's hard to remember steps along the way. I love looking back at the pictures because people take pictures of smiles... It feels good to see those along the way!
All I can say is...beautiful! :)
Jayne
Beautiful...just like Julia

Thank you Julia and Kauth family. Sharing your journey reminds us how important it is to smile, dance and just be silly. Your family is beautiful inside and out. This video does just what it is intended to do. I just want to go straight down to the hospital and do everything in my power to help.
Living on the edge all of the time can be really tough - somewhat akin to living on a rollercoaster.
I think it's wonderful that you made the video and it is beautiful. I'm so sorry that you area all having to go through this. Hold tight to each other and continue to make memories!!
....Turtle (Colleen & Jayne's cousin from California)
